A bluebell wood full of vibrant colours and bright, spring sunshine.

Mist
A misty start to the day in Petworth, West Sussex. I love the layers created by the rolling landscape in the South Downs, and I was drawn to the wonderful little hole in the tree trunk.
Footprints in the sand
The sun rising through the Durdle Door in Dorset, lighting the way for two sets of footprints after an early morning stroll along the beach.
The little house
The little house captivated me for its position in a raw and barren landscape on the Isle of Tiree. The island is known for being very flat, giving you far reaching views across out towards the other Hebridean islands. To the right of the photo you can see the island's only hill.

On the rocks
The sun setting as the tide crashes around the rocks by the harbour wall at Sennen Cove.
Turquoise waters
I arrived in pitch darkness and waited for the sun to rise through the Durdle Door in Dorset. You can only capture the sun rising through the 'door' once a year at this angle, and it was worth the early start. This is a 5 minute exposure to allow the clouds to stretch out across the sky.
Fire in the sky
As the sun rose over the mountains that surround Loch Carron, in the highlands of Scotland, I was drawn to the dawn rays that shot out through the valleys as shafts of red light, like a fire in the distance.
Puffin with eyes closed
It's rare to see photos of Puffin's with their eyes closed. I photographed this one on Staple Island, Northumberland. The Puffin was standing on a rock with his catch in his mouth and as I closed the shutter he happened to blink. I love the colour of his eye lids.

Honey tones
A gentle walk along the coastal path at Heartland in North Devon is good for the soul. This summer time sunset gave off honey tones that mixed with the flowers and rocks to create a wonderful glow of gold.
Lindisfarne Castle
A long exposure of Lindisfarne Castle, taken during the evening golden hour in summer. The setting sun was creating these beautiful pink colours in the sky, and the long exposure really allows those colours to stretch out with the clouds. The wind was strong and so I had to shield my tripod from being blown around whilst I took the shot.
