Sometimes the golden light at dawn over the South Downs can make the countryside appear to look like a desert, for just a few moments. I watched the sun rise over the hill in the distance on a clear day, with its heat causing the mist over the fields in the valley to rise up - reflecting the glow of early morning gold.
These moments are so fleeting and such a joy to capture. I was walking back from a sunrise photo shoot on a freezing cold winter's morning and looked up to see him staring at me. I slowly and carefully framed my shot before he fled away.
